Preferred:
• Previous NCQA accreditation and HEDIS reporting experience preferred

Role:
The Medical Director (MED) has overall responsibility for the medical direction of the care and treatment of patients served by its program’s care teams. S/he provides physician direction and guidance to the hospice and palliative care program and staff to assure the maintenance of quality care for patients and families. S/he serves as liaison between the program and community physicians, as well as with others engaged in health care services. S/he serves as an educator and researcher of hospice care. S/he or his/her designee provides direct medical care as needed to patients in the home and in multiple health care settings. S/he supervises the medical staff and contract physicians in the specified service area.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Knowledge and experience in palliative medical practice and symptom management
- Previous hospice experience
- Valid Florida driver's license and automobile insurance as per company policy
- Ability to make home/residence visits
- Leadership skills to supervise medical staff
